SCIO teams make the smart factory come alive at automatica 2023

After an impressive debut at the LogiMat in April, it was time to say "Servus" to Munich from June 27th to 30th as our experts from 4am, VESCON, SO3, and PrintoLux brought their vision of a fully connected, smart factory to life at automatica, the renowned world-leading trade fair for intelligent automation and robotics, and once again amazed the audience.

The joint booth showed off its futuristic elegance, attracting visitors to the Munich trade fair grounds. While the booth at this year's automatica was slightly adjusted to fit the layout of the new exhibition area, it retained its unique appearance that captured the imagination of visitors at LogiMat in April.

So it was no surprise to see the booth quickly filling up with intrigued industry professionals within minutes of the first day.

They eagerly observed the autonomous cobot (AMC-L) from 4am Robotics as it used its specially designed gripper to pick a box from a shelf, place it on one of its shelves, and transport it to the opposite shelf area. The autonomous outdoor tugger train also circled the booth numerous times, fully driverless, of course.

In addition to the new PrintoLux printing system SIGNO, the demonstration of SO3 cloud software and virtual commissioning by VESCON particularly attracted visitor attention.

"The positive feedback we received clearly shows that we struck a chord with our joint booth amidst the digital transformation. Our booth made the connected, intelligent factory tangible because, instead of showcasing individual solutions and products, we focus on the connecting elements and a comprehensive concept. As a team, we have managed to make this vision something that visitors can immerse themselves in, allowing them to feel and experience it first hand,"  said Ulrich Reiser, CEO of 4am Robotics and CDO in charge of VESCON‘s Virtual Engineering department.

The SCIO teams were full of energy and enthusiasm after this trade fair appearance, and they’re already gearing up for the next exhibition: Motek 2023 in Stuttgart.

From October 10th to 13th, 2023, we’ll be presenting our production and assembly automation portfolio. SCIO brands MRB Automation and VESCON Systemtechnik will be there with their custom machine solutions, ranging from high-precision systems, to adjustment and calibration systems, as well as measuring and testing equipment. VESCON Automation will be showcasing their expertise in E-Mobility alongside their Virtual Engineering solutions, as they’ve been collaborating with leading OEMs in battery (module) assembly over a number of years. Our US corporate brand, Industrial Automation, will bring an international flair to the event, serving successful customers in the North American market via our presence in the USA and Mexico. Our support  services such as Safety Services (tmp), our 360° collaboration software SO3 for demanding project engineering and management challenges, as well as PLC and robot programming systems (Autkom), will also be presented at booth 5501 in Hall 5. Stay tuned.
