Industrial Automation provides state-of-the-art automated solutions for a large variety of customers including OEM, Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive companies across North America. Hereby, Industrial Automation specializes in custom assembly equipment from table-top fixtures to multi-million-dollar robotic assembly lines. The company offers full in-house capabilities from conception and design through installation and service. Founded in 1992, Industrial Automation is headquartered in Rochester Hills, Michigan, with two additional facilities in Montgomery, Alabama, and Querétaro, Mexico.
Similar to the other four group companies, Industrial Automation will remain operationally independent while being able to profit from many group-wide benefits and SCIO’s support in the future-oriented strategic development as part of the larger automation platform.
"With Industrial Automation LLC, we integrate the first automation specialist from North America into the SCIO Group. This is an important milestone in SCIO’s young history and marks a bold move in line with our strategy for internationalization," says Michael Goepfarth, SCIO’s CEO. "With this new addition to the SCIO platform, we found a strong partner who perfectly enriches our automation portfolio and enables us to enter the significant North American market.”
Just 18 months after the group’s foundation, SCIO Automation now consists of five companies forming a conglomerate of strong automation specialists for customers in Europe, North America and Asia.
